About Us

Since our founding in 2018, the Be Epic Foundation has served the sports and recreational needs throughout the Conejo Valley. Getting kids on bikes is one of the main missions of the Be Epic Foundation.  We were founded to honor Tom Fields, who passed away on June 21, 2018 while mountain biking. Tom loved mountain biking, being active and participating in epic activities. While teaching a friend’s son how to mountain bike, it dawned on us that if Tom was still alive, he would be by our side teaching and sharing the Be Epic dream.

Tom adored the outdoors and always did things epically. It's our goal to carry on Tom’s legacy and provide children access to the equipment they need to enjoy these outdoor activities. We also connect them to athletes who can help show them the sport in a safe and fun manner (just as Tom did), so they too can "BE EPIC!”
